Franchise Apex

Coming Late 2026

There is a moment every baseball life remembers — walking out of the concourse into open air, the green of the grass hitting you first, then the diamond: clean lines, still dirt, a field waiting. Something in you falls in love before you can name it.

Years later you learn the rest in the dugout — the quiet talk passed down from a grandfather who saw the game a certain way, a father who corrected him gently and taught you another. How a pitcher works a hitter. Why a lineup feels right. What courage looks like with two outs and a runner on third. That is dugout lore: not a slogan, the inheritance of the game.

Franchise Apex is where that feeling becomes a league.

You do not draft a fantasy club. You claim a real franchise and a real season — the 1986 Mets, the 1998 Yankees, the 2001 Mariners — and manage them as history left them. Then you take that club into a league that stretches across eras: dead ball against the live ball, integration against the long ball, the same diamond under different skies. The argument is not who had better marketing. It is who can still win when the grass is green and the season is on the line.

A league of equals

Your league is not every legend dumped into one pile. Teams are grouped by Team Strength Score into strength tiers — Super Teams, Champions, Contenders, Average/Fringe — so you play clubs of similar historical weight. Inside that tier, eras collide. The same franchise may appear twice under different seasons; the same team-season may not. Identity stays intact. The fight stays fair.

You manage the club — not the market

No draft. No free agency. The roster is the roster.

You set the lineup, rotation, bullpen, and strategy. The era still knows how it pitched and played — Franchise Apex is built so a believable season happens without micro-managing every hook. Your edge is the same edge they talked about in the dugout: judgment. When to trust the default. When to break it.

Shape the season

When you create a league, you choose how the summer unfolds:

  • League size 10, 12, or 16 teams
  • Quick Season 33 games in about two weeks
  • Standard Season 66 games in about four weeks
  • Full Season 154 games across about nine weeks

Games resolve on a schedule. You set the club, wait for the game, read the box and the wrap, then make the next meaningful call. Depth you can hold in your hand — not a second job.

The road to the Summer Cup

Every season points at one prize: the Summer Cup.

  • Quick Season — Top 2 go straight to a Summer Cup best-of-seven.
  • Standard & Full — Top 4 enter the postseason; early rounds best-of-five, then the Summer Cup best-of-seven.

Short enough to stay sharp. Long enough to feel like a title worth inheriting.

From the Preview to the Apex

If you have been playing Summer Cup Preview, you already know the rhythm — scout, set the club, wait for the games, read the lore. Franchise Apex is that foundation turned into a full league: standings, rivals, a season length you choose, and a cup waiting at the end of the grass.

Franchise Apex opens December 2, 2026.
