About this park

Riverfront / Cinergy Field was a cookie-cutter multipurpose bowl on the Ohio — Astroturf summers, symmetrical fences, and football stripes in the mind's eye. It played closer to neutral than to a porch park. Reds clubs of the Big Red Machine era still made it loud; the building itself stayed fair.
