About this park

The new Yankee Stadium kept the family resemblance — a short right-field porch and the same lefty temptation — inside a bigger modern shell. The dimensions still ask pull hitters to hunt the line and punish pitchers who miss over the inner half to left-handed bats.

It is louder chrome than the old house, but the baseball geometry is familiar: right field stays the conversation, center stays a real trip, and the dugout still smells like October even in April. Managers who grew up on the original porch will recognize the smile on a left-handed lineup card.
