About this park

The Oakland Coliseum was a multipurpose cavern with football curtains in the memory and baseball that leaned pitcher for years. Cold nights, vast foul territory in the old configuration, and a fan base that deserved better architecture. A's clubs still made October noise here; the building rarely helped the bats.
