About this park

Columbia Park was the Athletics' first Philadelphia home before Shibe — a wooden early-AL yard with a hitters' lean in the book. Connie Mack's clubs played here while the French Renaissance palace on Lehigh was still a plan. Short chapter relative to Shibe; real pennants lived in these years.
