Shoeless Joe Jackson hit .395 for Cleveland with two hundred twenty-six knocks and a spray of twenty-six triples that turned alleys into private property. Forty-four doubles rode shotgun; ninety ribbies paid the rent. Near .400 again, and the ball still had somewhere to be. The three frames ahead keep the triples year rolling.
